Scandal!! Zamfir is NOT the master of the Pan Flute!!!
Edited on Sat Dec-09-06 07:37 PM by MnFats
This will shake the pan flute world to its knees!

http://www.panflutejedi.com/zamfir-analysis.html

"rather than follow the evidence, Zamfir has elected to play the part of the quintessential fairy-tale dragon. He attempts to hoard the instrument to himself, piling its methodology, franchise, and distinction into a bed and sleeping on it, guarding it jealously, and breathing fire on anyone who presents anything contrary to this agenda. Zamfir's claims are not only dishonest and pompous, but historically inaccurate, in terms of both ancient and modern historical perspectives"

1. The Pan-Flute biz is a killer industry. I've seen lives ruined.
I can expect a bit of showmanship/hucksterism by a man who wants you to think that he's got the most skilled mouth on the planet.

Still, as they say, the Pan-Flute Victors write the Pan-Flute History Books and it's up in the air who's face will be placed on the commemorative Age of the Pan-Flute coins, circa year 4,000 AD.

3. I'm agape. In awe, as a matter of fact.
I mean, can someone actually top the colossal amount of free time this brain surgeon has?

4. Heard a guy from Central America I would rate WAY over Zamfir
Gads, I used to LOVE to go listen to the group he played with. The young man had many different flutes and was fantastic.

6. "He attempts to hoard the instrument to himself"
Ah, if only he'd have kept his secret a secret.

7. Man, the good ol' days when we first got cable
If I had had money back then (I was only a kid), I would have been hard-pressed to choose between Zamfir and Slim Whitman, as those were the two commercials playing on TBS ALL THE FREAKIN' TIME!!!

I just wanted to watch Bugs Bunny.
