Good news and bad news... |
|
I had my angiogram yesterday and the good news is I have no blocked arteries in my heart. The bad news is that 3 hours later I had a pacemaker put in. I have Sick Sinus Syndrome with pulse dropping into 30's and 40's.).
I'm typing this with one hand, because the other arm is in a sling, which I have to wear for a week. Then I can't raise my arm up or pick up anything over 5 lbs for several more weeks.
I'm very thankful that there were no blocked arteries and in a few weeks lumberingbear will be back to his old lumbering self.
Thanks to those who gave me good thoughts, vibes and prayers.

is that you will hopefully live a long time with a pacemaker and will adjust to it.

..that you are not blocked, that is (she says as she eats another potato chip). I'm sorry about the Syndrome, but I guess it could be worse. Enjoy your time to be pampered, and take care of yourself!!:hi:

I am very happy to hear that your arteries are clear! That is very important!
And, you know, pacemakers are not really bad news. The really bad news would have been if you'd died from your sick sinus syndrome.....
I know you'll be fine! Speaking as a former Cardiac care nurse......

I do realize how lucky I am. My father died of an MI at age 60 (Which is a year older than ole lumberingbear is right now.).

with something ugly attached to it. I'm glad you're out of surgery and relaxing. And no arterial blockage... that's excellent news.

Bedtime. I didn't get any sleep at the hospital last night, and this bear is a sleepy bear.
