3. My dear BushDespiser12!
These are both wonderful.......

I love your grandma! She looks like a great lady......

And I recognize the plants! I forget what the name is, though...

They're very hardy and like to be in a warm climate....

Unfortunately, I don't have a scanner, so my B&W pics will stay unseen...

Thank you for posting these tonight! :pals:

4. TY very much CaliforniaPeggy
I actually just took digitals of them and cropped on the puter. Doesn't really do justice to the originals, but I wanted to post them. BTW, it was my grandmother that taught me how to develop in B&W. She gave me my first camera at 8 y/o -- a YashicaMat Box camera.

25. We call that plant 'Bears Britches' and they grow profusely in our yard
The proper name is Acanthus mollis, but even my grandma, who planted them eighty years ago always called them Bears Britches.

18. Thank you, R_L. I'm very close to my sisters.
Kathy is 21 months younger than me; Karen is almost 12 years younger than me. They live in Springfield, btw.

I also have two brothers. I love 'em, but we aren't as close as my sisters and I are.

21. Same here, Radio Lady.
I've got one brother...and while I love him to death, I'm jealous of people with sisters.

My best friend is like a sister...so I'll have to count myself lucky that I have her.

:)

14. It's my great-grandfather on my father's side.
I'm quite sure he was treated like a prince! The picture I have of my grandfather as a baby is interesting too... he's wearing a whilte lace bonnet. Those were the days!

8. Your grandmother's photo.
What a beautiful woman she is. Is she still living?

Here's my maternal grandmother, the most beautiful soul I've ever known. She passed away almost two years ago, and I miss her so.

This was her as a young lass:

12. Yes, I carry a part of my grandmother with me, too.
Thank you for complimenting her. She also had gorgeous skin--even til the day she died.

I'm sorry that you lost your grandmother, too. She is beautiful in that photo. She looks like a very warm, loving person.
