Anybody know why Aaron McGruder didn't restart "The Boondocks" after his hiatus? |
|
It was the most amazing political strip of the first half of this decade. There were times when it seemed like Huey Freeman was the only voice of opposition to the regime. And it was damn funny too.
Has anybody heard why McGruder felt he couldn't start producing the strip again? I know his syndicate finally got tired of waiting and cancelled it, but I was wondering if people here knew the story, or knew what McGruder might be planning next?

thanks for the link.
He's got a point, kudos to him for being true to his demographic.

4. I can't argue with the 'sick of it' aspect |
|
But I didn't find the TV show to be terribly interesting. I understand the demographic argument, though.

3. He was another Trudeau. |

I saw only a few episodes of the TV show, which was nowhere near as insightful or funny. It's a poor trade, IMO.
Here's hoping he brings the strip back someday.
