Poll question: Xmas Lights: Multicolored or White?
Nini and I prefer the multis, although I have a large string of white lights just because I like a lot of lights on a tree (not as much as Clark Griswold though).

1. I do both.
My tree came with white lights on it. I add a bunch of multi-color lights, include retro bubblers.

6. Black lights
for a truly psychedelic house!

Actually, I prefer colored lights by far. White lights have always seemed too bland to me; I'm glad their trendiness has died down a bit.

...I have one. I'd like Frank Shirley, my boss, right here tonight. I want him brought from his happy holiday slumber over there on Melody Lane with all the other rich people and I want him brought right here, with a big ribbon on his head, and I want to look him straight in the eye and I want to tell him what a cheap, lying, no-good, rotten, four-flushing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood-sucking, dog-kissing, brainless, dickless, hopeless, heartless, fat-ass, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, worm-headed sack of monkey shit he is.

Hallelujah. Holy shit. Where's the Tylenol?"

19. Multicolored all the way
I had a huge internal debate this year about clear or multicolored and my brother helped me answer the question. I've always had multi-colored, I have an eclectic mix of ornaments, and I prefer gold tinsel/icicles so that dictated a multicolored tree. I ordered it from Costco, and had it delivered last Thursday.

28. Not only multicolored
But my outside lights are multicolored C9s in a neighborhood of clear miniatures. It's traditional, damnit, and I love being different!

(yes, I know it's tacky to reply to your own post)

23. Multicolored.
Sadly, they seem to be slowly going out of vogue. You almost never see multi-colored lights on public displays anymore, and more and more of the neighborhood displays are going all white. I'll stick to colored lights, and weather the complaints that they're "tacky". There are some displays where the white lights look nice, but usually it's boring.

26. Multicolored. I once wrote a LiveJournal rant about white lights.
In my neighborhood, the only people who put up white lights were the snooty better-than-thou-arts. They also usually placed a single electric candle in each window--so tasteful, so proper, so STUFFY. Ugh.

Our home is full of color and life. :)

30. I do both
I've got multi-colored lights on the tree and the garland on the floor lamp, but white lights on the fireplace garland. And I've got white lights on the house and multicolored lights on the bushes in front of the porch.

White lights in the gingerbread house, too...but that's because the windows on it are multi-colored, so white shows them off better.

32. Get some LED christmas lights....
multicolored ofcourse.

LEDs are nice cause they use less electricty, last longer, harder to break, and dont get hot.

33. Clear and Lots of Them
I'm kind of insane about lighting things. Not quite Tim Taylor or Clark Griswold, but i've got a 3.5 foot tree in the rec room with nothing on it but 8 Star Trek ship ornaments and 300 mini-lights. I've got almost 2 thousand out in the yard on bushes. Yeah, i know!
