Good news - My mom is home from the hospital.
In case many of you did not know, my mom had an aneurysm early Saturday morning on Thanksgiving weekend. She spent about a week and a half in the ICU and she was transferred to a regular room about 2 days ago. She was discharged from the hospital earlier today and it feels so good to have her home. Part of me is still scared but I have to get over it. There is a lot to get used to . She wants to do everything on her own - it trips me out seeing her move fast down the hall with her walker , she really does'nt need it. She is pretty much bogged down and tired because she has been on so much medication and she still needs it for a while. One of her meds has her spaced out like ohmygosh but as long as it makes her feel good its all good. Thanks to everyone again for the prayers, good karma and support.

1. That's great news!

It will get easier over time and the memory of the terror you felt that morning will fade some. For now, enjoy having her back.

9. Thank you SeattleGirl :)
She is going to be alright. Once again she is more worried about my brother and I then anything. I told her that everything is fine and that she needs to rest. Right now she is in her bed watching tv.

4. I'm so happy to hear this good news of yours.
It's always such a nice feeling to have things return to a semi-normal state. I trust that she's on the road to recovery now.
Good luck to all of you.

10. You are both very lucky and very fortunate.
Aneurysms usually come with no warning and, as far as I know, there is no anticipatory diagnosis.
I'm glad for both of you.
