10. Professionally
I got a new director of my department who promoted me, gave me a raise, spent inordinate amounts of time with me (some business and some just talking) and the end result is that I realized what I didn't have in my marriage and my personal life has slid downhill since!

But like I said, professionally, I am better off.

Personally, while I don't relish what the immediate future has in store for me- looking at separation, talking about how we split up equitably etc., on the other hand, I needed something because what was happening personally was killing me.

 :pals:

11. One Thing For Sure
everything changes all the time

hopefully it gets better.

Don't know what that means for you except that I hope you find happiness, satisfaction, peace of mind, and freedom from depression and anxiety.

Suckage will pass.

8. Pressure at Christmas magnifies all the
bad shit as the year's end nears. Take the thought that makes ya happiest... no more finals in 5 days, a long phone conversation with a friend, and use it to deflect the bad shit. And... I am sure I am not the only one wishing you a Merry Christmas and a more rewarding new year. :pals:

12. Christmas Magnifies Family Losses
this will be the second year without my Mom

this will be the first year that my wife and I will be spending with our son at my Dad's house, but we will be staying in separate rooms. That's an exciting bit of news to share with my dad. He and my mom were married 50 years.

:-(

18. Yeah... got a slew of shit on my plate over the last
year as well. However, I am more equipped to create happiness moving towards the future. Did some very intense soul-searching and found some very positive aspects about myself and life that just need nourishment. One step at a time is working well.

I hope that your horizons get brighter, and am sorry for the loss of your mom. I wish you and your family well.

17. Well there were those cheerfull election results....
Suckage does change.... everthing changes.... even that moran in the White House will change. With all our help maybe we can change his residency to Gitmo. That would be a great goal for 2007.
Then the world will be a better place...for you....and me...just wait....and s- EGADS!!! I almost broke into song there!

Here have a silly joke: "What do you get when you kiss a sick bird?"

Chirpies!

It's a canarial disease ya know!!!

It's untweetable too!

being chknltl means it is OK for me to tell bird jokes,

no birds were harmed in the telling either.

I hope that helps a little.
