How on earth do you listen to a CD backwards?
My sister just told me that she was reading the jacket liner-thingy on Madonna's "GHV2" CD and it said that if you listen to "Erotica" backwards and very slowly you will hear the line "Take your clothes off and never talk to the opposite sex." (Or something like that.) Is this true? And how would one go about doing it? I just don't think it is possible. I asked my sister and her classic answer was "I'm sure there is some thing-a-ma-bob that can do it." So much for that.

2. By looking at a mirror while playing it normally?

In seriousness, reverse the polarity of the motor... or digitize the CD into the computer and use a sound editor to reverse the waveform... :D

4. Boy, I'll get right on that
Considering I have all the time in the world.

Sometimes I yearn for the days when you could just spin the vinyl record backwards with one finger. Technology does not always make things easier, does it?

9. Use your built-in Sound Recorder or a program like Audacity
You can record a CD track into computer memory and then play it backwards. Or, with Audacity, you can add distortion effects like a phaser, tremolo, wah-wah, or whatever.

10. Paul is dead.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_is_dead

"Evidence for McCartney's death consists of "clues" found among
The Beatles' many recordings, most of which are treated as if
they were deliberately placed by the Beatles or others - as if
McCartney's death was a puzzle to be deciphered by the public.
They include statements allegedly heard when a song is played backwards,
symbolism found in obscure lyrics, and ambiguous
imagery on album covers.

13. I don't know, but
I actually have the "Mr. Ed Theme" on vinyl, and I played it backwards once - live over the radio yet - to see if the legend was true. The legend, for those not familiar with it, states that the well-known chorus to the famously garrulous horse's theme song - "A horse is a horse, of course, of course... except for Mr. Ed." - is a little less innocent when played backwards. In fact it's a satanic invocation, running as follows: "A-hoch, a-hoch, a-hoch, a-hoch, I sing this song for satan."

Spooky, especially given that it's in Mr. Ed's voice.
