Kitty people: what do you know about Litter Crystals? |
|
Do they work better than regular scoop-ables?

1. They really..REALLY hurt when you step on them |
|
You're talking the litter pearls right? Hard little bals that you don't have to change for a while?
They do work better, but always one or two go astray, right into your barefoot path.

And you think you've swept them all up, and suddenly, at 2am in the dark, on the way to the bathroom, OWWWW!!!
I'll take the smell over the small pebble-sized foot bruises any day

There is no smell. NO SMELL. That's if I stir it every day like I'm supposed to. You don't have to take out the pee at all. You scoop out the poo and it can go in your toilet and be flushed. It doesn't last a month as it says on the bag, but it can go for 3 weeks or so with zero smell. I can't tolerate the smell of cat pee so this is the only way for me to go.

6. Is there a particular brand? |
|
I have 3 kitties and we have separate boxes but sometimes they all go in one and the smell gets bad FAST!

7. Litter Pearls is the brand I use. |
|
And they make a scoop specifically for the pearls too. Otherwise you throw out a lot.
Keep in mind, of course the poo will still smell, right after they do it. It's just the pee smell that I can't abide, and that is totally absorbed.

having lived in an NYC apt with cats, and trying multiple litters, I recommend crystals to anyone!
