What if Basil Rathbone's first name was a different spice or herb? |
|
Would he have been so successful? I think not.
"Garlic Rathbone" or "Dill Rathbone" would never have flown, in my humble opinion.
However, on second thought, "Cumin Rathbone" would have been totally unacceptable, right next to "Pepper Rathbone," in my humble opinion.
It is kind of like saying "I like my bacon crisp and lots of butter on my toast." That is soooooo way off base, in my humble opinion.

thyme to think about such a conundrum.
In Bloom County, Milo was contemplating the importance of names, and Opus declared "Me and Caspar Weinburger are gonna beat this!!"

Not exactly a spice, but I think he had a cousin named Dry Rub Rathbone.
