In fact, this may explain how cats can completely disappear from your house and then reappear when they hear the can opener -- they are using your fruitcake as an interdimensional wormhole.

group them in the center of your living room and throw a tasteful cloth over them for a coffee table which is also a clever conversation piece. Bonus: You won't mind if partygoers next summer spill rum punch all over it while getting boisterous.
