1. I checked off Great Lakes although I live in New York State.

Upstate is rather different than NYC and we have nothing to do with Maryland, Deleware or D.C. Even if you forget about Lake Ontario, we're Rustbelt Snowbelters, so that makes us part of the Great Lakes.
