I'm so white I seem to glow in photographs...it's actually kind of weird. I can't imagine how much makeup I would have to paste on in order to not look washed out in pictures.

I have to ask, one pasty gal to another, have you ever had a friend tell you to get a tan? I have one friend who tries to convince me to tan in the summers because of my pastiness. Could you imagine telling someone to alter their skin color??!?! WTF? I'm fair skinned with a family history of skin cancer for crying out loud. I'll always choose my pale, less sun damaged skin over a tan any day thankyouverymuch.

but I do brown a bit when I'm in the sun. I have olive beneath my paste. I agree - why tell someone to risk cancer just for aesthetic enhancement? :thumbsdown:

:P And the only person who ever suggested I should get a tan is me. I don't tan (I just burn and peel), so if I do get a tan, it's from a tube. And that only happens in the summer when I actually feel like putting it on.

On the flip side, my doctor tells me that I have extremely minor sun damage to my skin and that to be 43 and not have more is remarkable. :) I'll keep it that way!

My last little indulgence before hunkering down financially until Mr. Writer finds new work (it's looking good so far... I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't in a new position by mid- to late January. Pray to the Goddess!)

Anyway, I thought I'd share my half-pasty face (I had a touch of color on today) with my new highlights. Now, I love the dude who does my hair, but he went a little nuts today with the hair products. But now I'm flamin' red - and pasty!
