1. I mostly use my Mr. Coffee...
I do have an old Melita that I keep handy for when the Mr. Coffee dies, which happens an average of once a year.

9. I've got one of those in my camping gear.
Nothing...and I mean NOTHING beats a cappucino on a cold morning in the mountains.

All my friends bring crappy percolators and burn the hell out of their joe. I usually find myself feeding their coffee habit after they get a wafting from my espresso maker.

11. If it weren't so bulky I'd schlep it around on long backpacking treks
But all the coffee it consumes and the damn thing itself would just be a hassle.

I have a friend who doesn't go anywhere without his.

7. Auto drip at home but
I use a Percolator kettle when we go camping and I like the coffee made in the Percolator better. Grounds and all :) I don't have Percolator filters.

12. Automatic drip
When I drag myself out of bed in the morning, coffee is ready. mmmmm.

Unless I forget to rig it the night before. Then what a let-down.

14. Yup...
I'd curl up and die if my coffee wasn't waiting for me when I stumble downstairs. It's happened a time or two. We've gotten spoiled...I'VE gotten spoiled.

23. You forgot about the cup of cold water to settle the grounds of the Cowboy coffee
or the classic toss in a horse shoe and if it sinks boil it some more. hahahahahaha

When we first moved here we had to have cowboy coffee until Grandpa passed. Then we went back to the auto drip. The latest incarnation of auto drip machine is a still running 80's model GE with new glass.
I have a french press, and while in general I have no class or taste when it comes to coffee (can you say Chihuahuan instant? or two day old reheated in the microwave?) I really love the way it tastes from the press. I am usually too lazy to do it that way, though.

24. A percolator. By the afternoon, the coffee has the consistency of driveway sealer.
Just the way I like it.

27. Espresso maker!
I've got a krups espresso maker that makes a mighty fine cup of coffee for me and my partner everyone morning. I even grind my own beans each day (actually, my partner does the grinding. and the coffee making). Filter coffee really makes me gag -- I think living in Europe ruined me forever on that front.
