I want to dump IE7 and I want to know the easiest way to do it. |
|
I'm sorry I downloaded Windows Explorer 7 and I would like to dump it. A friend of mine told me all I have to do is send the older version in my "C" drive to the desk top, drag the Version 7 icon to the recycle bin and dump the trash. My guess is that is might be a little more complicated than that.
What's the best way? A lot of this technical stuff is way beyond me.
Thanks for any help.

2. Kinda got the same problem. |
|
When I first started using the firefox browser not all websites supported it, so I kept IE around. Now I think they all do. I think you have to go into 'add/remove programs'. I was gonna do that but got some kind of cautionary warning that it might affect other programs I was using. I chickened out. Maybe one of our computer gurus will check in.

10. Trof, I do that a lot, too...chicken out |

Then once and a while I get up the courage to download or delete stuff and end up clusterfucking myself.
So now, I just chicken out or roll up into a fetal position.

6. That's how I feel. Sometimes I'd like to take it out and shoot it. |

Having a computer and DU enabled me to stay sane for the last six years of Bushco, but sometimes I want to disconnect from all things electronic and go live in the woods in a teepee.

7. I'd be really surprised if that's even possible |
|
You upgraded to IE7 using Windows Update, I expect. Unless that provides you with a 'revert to previous version' option, you're probably screwed.

I can do that. I just needed a simple answer like that...I'm 56 and my brain cells are dying faster than they're being replaced.

15. I'd do what LSK said: Dump IE altogether and just use Firefox. |
|
Or Opera, even. Anything but IE.
