Women who wear makeup - a question

I wear lipstick almost daily, and foundation/blush/eyeliner occasionally.

I have a lot of freckles on my face, which I happen to like. I wear Bare Minerals foundation, so I can get enough coverage for blemishes, without covering the freckles. Am I unusual in not wanting to cover up my freckles?

1. I don't think that's unusual at all.

I have several large freckles on my face and I never try to cover them. I like them, they are kind of cute. :D

I only wear lip gloss, eyeliner, and mascara regularly.

6. Why would you want to cover them up?

Freckles add character and I think they make you look eternally youthful. And you shouldn't wear foundation all over your face to cover blemishes anyway.

They are a sign of youth. I think they're beautiful. I have several cousins who are redhaired and freckled and I think it takes at least ten years of their age.

However, they are also a sign of a susceptibility to sunburn and skin cancer, so take care when you expose yourself to the sun.

But since I'm not a big fan of makeup in the first place, I'm probably the worst person to ask.

I love freckles and would be horrified to cover them up! Mine come out with a (little) bit of sun and it always makes me feel pretty and healthy.

and as I've grown older they have faded..I've tried several techniques to actually "paint" them back in (without much success)..so I'd say you are not unusual..or else we both are.

21. I have lots of freckles and VERY fair skin...

They are a little too prominent for my liking, so I do try to cover them. I also use Bare Minerals - I add a bit of Bisque multi-purpose makeup over the foundation to cover them somewhat. I do love my BE!!

I'm a natural redhead with freckles. But as I've gotten older, my auburn hair as well as my freckles have faded. So now, I highlight my hair to keep it from being a drab brown. And I miss those freckles! They're very youthful.

I'm so happy to read all of the positive comments about freckles. I have TONS of them ALL over (except where the sun doesn't shine) and it took me years to learn to love them. I was constantly teased about them growing up. I used to think if I could just get enough sun, my tan and freckles would become one. But nooooo...the freckles just get darker than my tan.

There must be something to freckles adding a youthful appearance. People never guess that I'm in my 50's. And sunscreen helps you retain that youthful look. To freckles!

I wear makeup on occasion, and when I do, I don't wear foundation for that reason.
