If Mr. DTBK gets laid off, where should we move??
There are rumblings of layoffs in his department. He thinks he'd be safe, but one never knows. We moved from Kansas to Pennsylvania to Texas. I just passed the Texas bar exam and DO NOT want to have to take another one, but if I have to, I have to. I hope his job is safe. I suspect I'll have trouble finding a job, and there's no WAY I'll find one that pays enough to allow us to maintain the lifestyle to which we have become accustomed (nor do I want a job in which I have to work 80 hours a week). I'm trying not to worry - he just sprang this on me today.

1. You should move closer to Bulllwinkle925
Yes, I know, serious financial challenge and another bar exam because I'm guessing that she wouldn't be inclined to move to Texas given where she lives now. I wish that one of my sisters lived closer than 3000 miles away.

6. Didn't you pass the PA bar too? Maybe you can move back to PA.

7. No, I didn't take PA because I knew I was moving to TX
We'll see. He says we shouldn't have to move - "the worst thing would be that I have to do clinical work." He just came home and informed me that he'd leased a Lexus ES 350, so he must feel pretty confident.
