I am doing some holiday baking and thought I would make a little bag for some of our closest neighbors. Our next door neighbors moved in a few months back and I have only talked to them once. I think they are either from India or Pakistan, so likely either Hindu or Muslim. I would probably lean toward India as the likely guess. Anyway, would they find it offensive if I gave them something with "season's greetings"? I know they are surrounded by it but I don't want to offend them.

1. Hindus are generally tolerant of other religious holidays. |
|
My parents (Hindus) still put up the Christmas tree, give gifts, etc.

I was raised Hindu and I don't get offended by "Merry Christmas" or even "Jesus died for you, you heathen sinner" :P. "Season's Greetings" is appropriately neutral.

5. I'm Muslim - I think I can answer that |
|
My husband is Pakistani - I'm Caucasian and converted. I don't think they'd be offended if they're either Hindu or Muslim. I know Hindus who celebrate Christmas as enthusiastically as any Christian. In our house we put up a Christmas tree - it's part of my tradition, and I think it's pretty! Whether they're Hindu or Muslim, they'd probably appreciate your thoughtfulness. (Just don't give them any beef or pork!)
BTW - do you know their names?
