It's the way in which he does it. I don't believe anything is off-limits, particularly because I believe in the de-mystifying power of comedy, but Mencia does it in a way that in no way leads to thinking or deconstruction of any of the topics he covers. Guys like Sacha Cohen (Ali G/Borat/etc) and Dave Chapelle are modern examples of comics who "push" limits but do it in order to show how dumb the sterotypes are in the first place.
