What person in your life have you been the most appreciative of? |
|
Sort of a copy-cat thread, but I have been inundated with some bad news today and I would love to hear some good stories!

Dad pushed me to grow up and Mom provided that nice safety net for when I stumbled.

The older I get, the more I appreciate all she's done, all the sacrifices she's made for me...and all the pain she went through sticking with my dad til we were old enough :(

She's a wonderful woman who treats her in-laws as well as she does her own children. She doesn't hold back on criticism of them either. All things are equal with her, the good & the bad.
She is my role model when it comes to unconditional love.

4. A wonderful man who was one of our adult youth group leaders. |
|
it's almost entirely solely because of him that I ended up a productive, loving, intelligent, educated life-loving and kind and gentle person (yes, I really am - don't let the rants fool you), and didn't turn into a teenage runaway male drug-addled prostitute at age 14; or, more likely, a suicide. Or possibly just a bitter, useless, uneducated piece of shit wasting my life working at WalMart and eating Doritos and weighing 400 pounds and drowning my misery in cheap liquor and never being happy, being bitter, obsessed with others' happiness, and forever hating myself and everything else in the world and blaming it all my father so that I don't have to take any responsibility for my utter failure to rise up to be a human being.

5. My parents and my fiance. |
|
All three of them have done so much for me. My parents have always put my needs before their own. And my fiance is the best person ever; he takes care of all of us, my family loves him and since I've been sick he's taken such good care of me. :)
