STUART DAVIS (the musician) fans, check in!
Anybody else enjoy Mr. Davis' work? His "Nomen Est Numen" is in my top 10 favorite albums of all time, and his new spoken word release is brilliant.

3. That's the one.
Sings songs about sex, God, and the convergence of the two.

4. I went to high school with him,
I was one year older than he was. When I wore a pony tail to school one day I was pilloried for it, Stu (being so much cooler than I was) wore one about two weeks after I did and started a trend! I knew he was serious about his guitar playing back then, but I've gotta admit to being impressed with his being able to keep the drive going.

Another buddy of mine plays bass for him on occasion--although I'm not sure if he's played on one of Stu's albums, or just in a live setting.

Here's a historical footnote--our high school gave rise to one other famous musician: I think her name was Shari Petersen, at any rate she played bass for the femal heavy metal outfit Vixen. She was a good 7 or 8 years before me though.
