A repuke in the waiting room.

I went to a new urologist yesterday.

My appointment was at 2:15 and I was right on time. A guy got in line behind me. His hair was uncombed, and he looked like he had slept in his clothes.

He started telling the receptionist, in a loud voice, that he had overslept his 2:00 appointment. She asked him if he worked nights. He said no, that he had the day off, so he stayed up late and slept late.

I went to sit down. The fool must have been listening to Rush in the car on his way to the doctor. He started telling the receptionist, in a loud manner, that the children were in charge, now that the Democrats had won. When she did not respond, he repeated himself.

I don't know why he started talking about the Democrats, but I got up. I told him that if he was going to badmouth Democrats, to keep his voice down. I did not want to hear it. He told me that I should join him. He was a union man and a Teamster. I told him that my husband is a Teamster and a solid Democrat. I said, "You lost. Get over it. Be. Quiet."

I glared at him until he sat down and shut up. I am long past listening to any of them bloviate while I stay quiet and polite. No more.

The receptionist gave me a radiant smile.

That means you get your lazy ass up out of bed and be prompt to your appt. If you're late - too bad, the rest of the world isn't going to work around YOU anymore.
