I Need Help Deciding How to Best Weigh Poll Results. Help! |
|
Edited on Fri Dec-15-06 10:04 AM by Crisco
This is a web project I'm doing. A poll for people to vote for their favorite albums of the year by giving us their top 5, by rank.
Proposed weighting #1:
Ranking total * number of times it's mentioned overall
Proposed weighting #2:
Ranking total * (number of times it's mentioned overall / 2)
Proposed weighting #3:
Ranking total
Proposed weighting #4:
Ranking total * (number of times it's mentioned overall / some number other than two)
Which seems the most accurate to arrive at a copacetic number?
