|
it is so long and skinny with the little end tuft. Didn't know they had such long tails either.

23. uppity, I have to tell you... |
|
Edited on Sat Dec-16-06 04:00 AM by grasswire
....that I passed along the link to a family that is in a lot of distress. Dad just lost his job, just after he had moved his elderly mother up from the south to live nearby, rented her a home, etc. He already suffered from chronic depression, now the job loss has put him in a funk. The two teenagers have been acting out, grounded, hostile, etc. The grandma is a crazy and hostile person, adding even more pressure.
Well, now they have taken to africam and they have it up on the computer during meals and have something to talk about to take their minds off the troubles at home. The mom said "It has changed our family life." The kids are happy to get up in the morning to see what's happening, etc.
So, thanks, on behalf of them.

24. grasswire, your post gave me goosebumps. |
|
How wonderful that the Africam is having such a wonderful affect on this family.
Have you ever noticed how some hospitals, and many nursing homes have large fish tanks? It's because it's been shown that watching the fish has a very positive affect on people. Apparently, so does the Africam.
Bless you for sharing this with this family. :pals:

Sounds like an unhappy place to be and I am glad that they have found this and it is cheering them up. Amazing how we can get stuck and what can help. Thank you so much for posting this.
