Bah HumBug : I'm so sick and tired of vandals. They struck again.
I try to be a good citizen. :(

Sorry, but today I went for a routine walk and noticed the neighbourhood has been hit by graffiti. Again.
Called the graffiti hotline and reported no less than 10 locations. I've called the graffiti hotline probably a dozen or so times already in the last few months.
One of the apartments in our "complex" was hit. Across the street was hit. They hit places that were already reported and cleaned up from previous calls. Calls I made.... :eyes:
One was cleaned up a week ago only to be hit again. What are these punks trying to prove anyways?

I'm just tired of seeing all this crap, and maybe a little sick and tired of having to report it all the time. Geez, I work customer service for the city during the day, do my evenings and weekends have to be filled with monitoring the neighbourhood?

Can't people come home and live in some kind of peace.

People wonder why seemingly ordinary people "snap" on occasion. It doesn't take "much" to have people blow. It just takes having to see the same low level crap repeated over and over and over again.

And you know what, where's the sympathy for just normal people wanting to enjoy their communities? There's more than enough sympathy for the "poor" "hard done by" "misinterpreted" punks who vandalize the neighbourhood. (at least that's what I've found googling the issue)

Geez...... :(

1. .

It's sad to say, but would a crime watch program be of any help? Or, and I'm not keen on this one, but security cameras?

2. Good idea, but I'm not a property owner.......
the graffiti in the city has gotten so much worse......I've never seen it so bad.

The crews are good at cleaning it up, but it's tiring having to see this crap practically every weekend. :(

3. The problem ususally gets worse during school breaks.
All those teenagers whose parents are off at work and leave them home alone, it's inevitable that some of them will cause trouble.

it's worse in winter than it ever was in the summer.

And this is Winnipeg, lots of snow and some pretty severe windchills so far this year.

7. funny thing is people still buy over here
I affectionately call these streets gunshot and stab wound to myself of course. I've been selling over on the northeast side of Vegas (close to Nellis AFB) for a long time. I like it. People who buy over here are used to the surrounding environment and to be honest there are really not any major problems. Just a part of town that is not as desirable.

I can't handle the chickens though. Its disgraceful. I already reported them to code enforcement. Poor chickens.
