14. sure an MA is a silly degree and economics a useless major

but all the same my degree has been useless. It does not even make a good dartboard, nor could it even get me back into UNL in 1999 in spite of these GRE scores verbal 640, quantitative 800, analytical 790.
Apparently even Nebraska does not respect their own degrees.

However, nothing you said supports your assertion that degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln are worthless. Perhaps your degree is worthless to you, but that has nothing to do with what university's name is stamped on it.

That is a failure of the University. Employers have not respected my MA from their school.

It's pretty easy to love our volleyball team though. Our graduating seniors have a 126-10 record. ;)

We're also the only university that can sell out a 17,000 seat stadium for a women's sport...in less than 24 hours...twice in 2 days.

But no, it actually is cool. 2 days ago we set the record for largest crowd to ever watch women's volleyball in the United States. And then tonight, we broke that record. (I guess they made people stand??) :bounce:

We've also sold out all of the regular season games since 1994...I'm not the only Husker fan that takes sports perhaps a bit too seriously. ;)

I don't consider that to be a bad thing at all. After the Huskers crashed and burned in late 2001, they were awful. The last 2 years have showed significant, consistent improvement. This year is the first time that the Huskers won the Big 12 North since 1999. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_12_Championship_Game

The present bowl agreement has the loser of the Big 12 Championship Game playing in the Cotton Bowl. So (at least from my viewpoint) I don't consider being in the Cotton Bowl to be stuck at all.

No sarcasm intended. I've been a Huskers fan since childhood and continue to be. Go Huskers in ALL of their sports :applause:

22. Perhaps that came across wrong...

I'm proud of our football team. We did show a lot of improvement over last year (and particularly over the hellish condition we found ourselves in, courtesy of the Solich era).

However, Dallas in January isn't my idea of a good time. It's the venue that sucks (hence the "stuck" comment)...not so much the requirements it takes to get there.
