Oh, so very not fair. She's got a beautiful face, a voluptuous hourglass figure, a lovely British accent, and she cooks such wonderful things.
I'm convinced she can't possibly be mortal.

...I'm going to need a cold shower and a cigarette.
Alluring, I believe, is the word for her.

5. I would gladly gain 20-30 pounds if I thought it would give me a figure like hers. |
|
Unfortunately, it's not in my genes.
I watched her Christmas special this afternoon, though, and I'd love to try the pasta with walnut sauce (and the "special" hot chocolate with rum and honey!).

6. I watched one of her shows this afternoon too. |

Nothing she did looked difficult at all, and it all looked yummy. As does she. :)

4. She has a very interesting and somewhat tragic story. |
|
Her first husband died of tongue cancer. He was a writer for a British newspaper, I believe, and he wrote about his agnonising decline.
Meanwhile, she struck up a very close friendship with a wealthy businessman. She married him after her first husband died.
Personally, while I find her divine to look at, so far, I have been very unsatisfied by her cookbooks. Her recipes are not that good.

7. Her first husband was Jon Diamond. |
|
He wrote an excellent book about his struggle with cancer, called "C: Because Cowards Get Cancer Too." It's very honest and frank about what he endured, and is both funny and very moving. There's a particular irony in the fact that he was a man with no tastebuds, for whom everything he ate tasted like "burned metal", and was married to a someone who's career was all about creating great food.
Nigella later married Charles Saatchi, cofounder of the Saatchi & Saatchi advertising empire.

8. Thanks for that. I read a long piece in vanity Fair about her. |
|
Her first husband knew she was falling in love with Saatchi, but because his tongue had been removed, all he could do was shout unintelligible obscenities at her while he was dying. He was furious at her.
That part really stuck out for me. What a terrible situation for all to be involved in.
