I just love the way you an change the sound of your stereo by changing cartridges. The great thing is you can keep getting better fidelity if you have a good turntable.

Digital recordings are broken up into tiny, miniscule bits. Analog is one uninterrupted signal. The difference is most noticeable, supposedly, in classical music. But you'd have to be a true audiophile to hear the difference. Or a dog.

a good used AR turnatble(can be had for $125.00 and a good cartridge(I just picked up a Pickering xsv-3000) for $55.00 and this combo with a very good album will blow away most CD players. If you buy an audiophile album($30.00) you would not believe the difference. I own a $500.00 CD player and I tell you the difference is easily heard.
