9. I have a number of friends who are in the same situation.

The oldest of my two brothers was born on 12/22, and my daughter was born on 12/30. My family has ALWAYS made sure that their birthdays WERE celebrated as birthdays. It is FORBIDDEN to wrap their presents in Christmas paper. Birthday wrapping is all that is acceptable.

That's what families need to do. The kid didn't pick his/her day of birth. So, it is up to the families to make sure that the kid knows that their birthday IS a special day, even if it falls ON christmas day.

My pasta salad was a hit. hehe. Everyone was really nice. I think I faked the chit-chat enough that they didn't think I was a total social leper. I didn't even know half the people and we've lived here the longest. :shrug:
