1. I loved the Lone Gunmen.
And I was apparently the only fan of their spin-off.

5. Sure...
http://imdb.com/title/tt0243069/

It only lasted one season I think. I suspect the reason the X-files jumped the shark is because all of the good writers left to work on The Lone Gunmen (also my theory for Simpsons/Futurama). The characters were interesting, and smart, and funny, it was all well written, there was a great sidekick, a foil, etc. In other words, doomed for cancellation.

9. It's available on DVD....
Amazon has it for $23 right now. I may just pick up a set for a Christmas present for the husband, so I'm glad this thread popped up and reminded me of the series!

3. That's a tough one...
I'm pretty split between Cancer-Man, X, and the Lone Gunman (x3).

Very partial to Marita Covarrubias, too, for obvious reasons, but she wasn't in enough episodes to really qualify.

I vote for CancerMan, based largely on the long thru-line with Mulder's family background and on the terrific episode "Confessions of a Cigarrette Smoking Man," which was a wonderful background sketch of this character.

ps...the picture links didn't work for me....

He ended up getting shot in bar just as he was about to ask her out.
