I have one more to mail, and I even put in in my coat pocket last night, because is has to get out today/tomorrow or it won't make it by X-mas, but I'm just too lazy to go outside and find a mailbox, which is really saying something, since I know there's a mailbox about 40 yards from my front door.

But then again, sometimes I just leave the TV on because I can't find the remote and it's almost five feet across the room to the TV and I just can't get off the couch for any reason at all, so I lie there hoping for some kind of power outtage so the TV will shut itself off, because the TV's really getting annoying, but I can't even raise my head to look for the remote-- I just toss my arm over the side of the couch and feel around under it for five seconds before giving up.

Maybe I'm not lazy-- maybe I'm clinically depressed! No. I'm just lazy.

I do have to work on it, though, and get them finished. It was just this past Saturday that I got the pictures I want to tuck into some of the cards. I'm about a quarter of the way through my list.

Yippeeeeee! I actually accomplished something today. I just need to verify a few addresses and add some extra people to my list. I sent out a ton this afternoon!

As a matter of fact, I have to finish wrapping a bunch of stuff, then packing them and tomorrow I have to mail them and it's going to cost me a fortune because I'll have to send it all Priority or it'll never get there on time. :banghead:

After living out here for a few years I realized that it was better for me to assume that I'd have that priority mail expense for at least some of the gifts and started budgeting for it. Even when I can get everything wrapped and ready to go by early December the spouse derails my schedule with his purchases from small vendors like indy music labels. I finally gave up.

I really, really needed that. I went to work yesterday at 4 am, got home and worked on packaging and wrapping and never sat down until 6 pm.

Right now I'm gearing up to go to the post office. :scared:

Only two annual "I'm still alive" cards. Since I didn't travel anywhere, there's not much to write about. A least I have a whole year to think about what I'll write next year.

Had to attend to wrapping and mailing gifts first but that was done as of yesterday. The good thing about living across the continent from most family and friends is that after mailing everything I get to enjoy the week before Christmas as a pleasant, low stress time.

I think the friends and relatives have given up on us. We are mired in house-renovation, two-full-time-jobs-plus-freelance-work, toddler-wrangling hell, in which no courtesy, like sending holiday cards, goes unignored.

I did manage to send thank-you notes for MG Jr.'s birthday gifts last month, though. Now THAT was a miracle.
