Oh no! We've joined the iPod zombie hordes!
I was telling my SIL that I was getting SO an iPod.
"That's what I got him!"
"Ok - I haven't bought mine yet - I'll get something else. I was going to get him a 4gb one. What are you getting him?"
"A 30"
"A 30?! What's that? You mean an iPod? They make them that big!?"
"It's the video. He did 3 days of work at my new house, and wouldn't take any pay."
"Wow. Glad we talked. Wouldn't I have looked like the cheap bitch that I am!"

So I'm getting him a case for it, and one of those wee little clip-on shuffly things (only $80!:scared:) to take to the gym so his video one won't get scuffed or dropped. So thanks to all who gave advice.

1. Duct tape the Shuffle to the back of his head.

It could be easily swallowed or inhaled or blown out the window by a slight breeze otherwise. The thing is really that small. :scared:

2. How fun!
I bought mine weekend before last, and I would go insane with out it now. FINALLY Found a case, and got some cool ear buds for it at Staples yesterday. They're called Skull Candy. They point down into my ears. They rock. The ones that come with the IPOD are really loud everyone can hear everything I listen to, and that's not good because I listen to explicit songs.

3. A new set of earbuds might not hurt, either...
the ones that come with the iPod are not the greatest, from everything I've heard. I just won an iPod shuffle in a contest, and I'm planning to replace the earbuds with something more comfortable (probably earbuds that fit in the ear canal, like Sennheiser CX 300's) and with better frequency response.
