My 21-year-old cat loves canned food as a treat
Edited on Mon Dec-18-06 07:54 PM by Roon
This cat used to belong to my ex and he would feed her canned food every night. Well, I just can't afford it, but I usually give her a little of my dinner every night or a can of the tuna that I keep stocked. I had an early dinner tonight and she really didn't get anything and now she's crying and crying for a treat meal.

So I am roasting her a chicken breast. I am cooking for my cat!

On edit:I forgot, this month she turned 22 according to my ex. :)

1. You have gone over the edge...
The cat owns you -- you know that, don't you? :-)

2. You're a good person
Any cat who has loved people for 22 years deserved the best. Every day I hope my cat lives as long as that. She looks a little like yours, and she's my girlfriend. I've painted her portrait a few times, and I sleep with her every night. Be glad you've got a great old cat, and give her what she wants.

4. Yeah, she gets everything she wants
I she hates other cats so she has a little house set up by my computer with a bed and her litterbox. She spends 90% of her time on my computer desk. I eat at my computer and she demands a little of what I have.

5. I would have guessed it would be a calico. They're real durable.

10. She is absolutely adorable, and deserves the treats!
My ex had a beautiful cat who lived to the ripe old age of 27! You can bet she was treated like a queen.

My guys are a bit younger than that, the oldest being about 6 1/2 years old, but they definitely know when it's time for their treats (in this case Whiskas envelopes of meat in gravy or sauce). My Maine Coon devours most of it, but not after letting the two classic tabbys have their share.

12. I'm just jealous
my beloved Bettina only made it to 19 (and canned cat food took a distant third to her favorites, crab and avocado)

Seriously, she's beautiful! Here's to many more years of cat care slavery.
