I woke up and realized that I hate being alone.

I've lived in the back part of the house for five years and I'm used to having my own bed. But this morning, it's beautiful outside, sunny and cold; and cozy inside and I realized that I don't like waking up without somebody to kiss and hold. I think I know why some people stay married forever even when it sucks.

my parents have been (officially) married for 45 years. They haven't slept in the same room for at least 25 of those, and this is well before their health issues. Mom stayed married for her children; dad stayed 'cause there's no such thing as a free divorce. She had basic job skills and even less self-esteem; he was a drunken idiot freeper that was a legend in his mind. So, they've been miserable together for many years. Mom's not in good health, and making the big dinner is beyond her, so they're going out. I don't mind a bit.

Hold out for the right one. It's wrong to be married and miserable.

P.S. I may have found her, but it's too early to tell.

My daughter crawled into bed with my wife and I around 1am. From that point on either my wife was snoring so loudly it woke me up, or my daughter had a knee or elbow in the middle of my back. I woke up as far over on the edge of the bed as I could get with an arm in my face. Ugh!
