That lack of oxygen is a big help when trying to acclimatize to high altitudes. Its like a two pack a day habit.

I quit smoking months ago, and I've had more respiratory illnesses in that time than I had in the last three years or so combined. Based on that solid, scientific evidence, I would say that it is requisite that they do so. However, I submit that there is the remotest possibility that my assertion might be slightly flawed.
