1. Either way you're a hot babe -- oops, is that sexist?
If it is, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa. But the opinion still goes.

But then I'm hopelessly superficial.

9. The short style doesn't look at all butch,
but you're going to have to put some effort into styling it. If you don't mind that, I think you'd look great with the shorter hair. Keep the red, though.

10. Hmm, I like it either way...
But I think short would look good on you.

I would not get it cut too closely to your GF's hair style, keep your own look. But the chin-length cut would be sexy, slightly longer than the picture you posted.

13. I think it's an attractive style for your face shape and features
but your hairdresser might suggest something different based on your hair or your lifestyle. I for one avoid any haircuts that require more than a brush and towel to style, but you may be happy with a style that requires blow drying or special hair products.

14. You know, lionness, you have very pretty hair...
Which you seem to style quite nicely. I wouldn't change a thing! If you're bored with it (and I know what you mean) maybe you can do something fun with long layers? I also think the color you weave into it works very well with your skin.

I vote: Little to no change :hi:

15. chin length
you have beautiful hair - the one you picked seems almost too short for how beautiful and lush your hair is. Lioness. JMTC.

Oh and congrats about grad school - didn't get a chance to tell you before.

19. My thinking exactly. LP, if you can get hold of one of the stylebooks
from Britain, I highly recommend them.

Lots of great styles you won't see here in the US. They run about 7-8 dollars and are smaller format but the pics are excellent with something for every style.

23. GreatHair is one of them, but they publish under different names
sometimes.

Glossy, about 5x7 and I always get them at Barnes and Noble in the fashion magazine section.

24. I think it will look awesome. It will just be a different kind
of awesome. But that kind of a cut would definitely frame your face well.

25. go for it!
hair grows, first off -- and even if you don't love the new cut, you might really like one of the in-between stages. And you're young and beautiful, so why not experiment with your 'look'?

I cut my hair short short short many times in my 20's - either because of travel (in areas where I wasn't going to have easy access to daily shampoos and styling products) or for work (when I was working 20 hour days and needed all the sleep I could get). I really liked it both times, and am very very glad I first cut it short when I was young. Youth is very forgiving.

You'll save a ton of money by not buying shampoo.
