Damn... every time I go to my dentist for my semiannual checkup, she's redecorated.

:eyes: It's different every single time. I had to get my teeth cleaned today (everything was fine---no cavities!), and I walked in to see hardwood floors in the waiting area, new furniture, new wallpaper, and the entire work area had been redone too. One time, she redecorated in a pukey shade of mauve. :yoiks: Now I see what all the high prices at dentists' offices are all about. :P

She did get a digital x-ray system installed since the last time I was there, which is really cool but was, I'm sure, really expensive. :P

prices and services will reflect such "important" things. Equipment updates are good, though.

A sure sign of either a dentist who is a cheapskate or one who possesses a personality defect like acute arrogance. Oh yeah, and when his best defense for screwing up on dental work is "I am not God!"* it's time to find a new dentist.

* on edit: this actually happened to me. I responded that I knew he wasn't perfect like God. If I thought he was perfect, I'd sue.

7. Yep--DH has had the same office manager for 19 years, hygenist

for ten. It is a very small office--I would go crazy--but he is a really nice, calm, and tolerant guy.

My dentist doesn't do the decorating thing. I thinkone of the girls in his office got to decide the scheme for one of the exam rooms, because it is all purple, chair included (which Dropkid LOVES!!). My dentist, while I am sure many would hate him do to his dry and sarcastic sense of humor, is fantastic for me and Dropkid (it's just like hanging out with her uncles!!:rofl: ) because I respond much better to that than the fakey Mr. Rogers demeanor type. Gotta love a smartass!
