OMG! OMG! Did I just get a gift in the mail! |
|
I have a couple wealthy relatives.
Last time I saw them, a few months ago, I mentioned how much I enjoy my Gamecube and PS2.
I get a package today. I can't resist opening it now. :-)
It's a Nintendo Wii!!! :wow:
Has no games with it though.
I am honestly thinking of not keeping it though. Why? Because being the 40-some klutz I am, I could never do any good at the games, and the games themselves are just too damn expensive.
I think I'll keep it until after Christmas, and then sell it on eBay.
BTW, just sent a thank-you e-mail to my relatives.

Those things look so cool! But I guess the cooler systems get these days the more expensive the games are. C'mon, though, you need to play it once before you sell it.....

They live a long way from here now though, so I seldom see them anymore.
But their son and I are very close in age, and we pretty much grew up together 30-some years ago. We used to hang out a lot together, and get into mischief occasionally...
I'm not the cliched "favorite nephew," but we still manage to stay in touch. Too bad they are getting older, my uncle turned 80 last year.

4. Play a round of golf before you considering selling it (should be includded in the kit) |
|
My ten-year-old son bagged a wii and he suckered me into trying it. It's kinda neat, plus you can access the internet with it.

6. A nice thank you notecard would be appropriate. |
|
E-mails are okay, but a real card is a better way of saying thank you.

I'll make one up with my aunt's favorite bird on it, the ruby-throated hummingbird, on Print Shop, and send it off tomorrow. (Mail already came today.)

Have tried to get one for my son with no luck. The only damn thing he asked for this year! Seriously, if you want to sell and can ship it to me by Christmas, I would be your bestest friend!

Afraid the deadline for getting it to you by then is past.
I'll see once, who knows? I may even end up keeping it! (Decisions, decisions...)

10. Oh well, it was worth a try. |
|
I actually went to my local Best Buy at 4 AM Sunday. I was already too late by then. The people there know me by sight. It's embarrassing, I have given up. He'll get other nice things and will have to wait til they are more readily available.
