Just sent my parents a Christmas gift. |
|
They are fairly well-off, so what to get them?
I came up with a good one. Both of them are big fans of Romy Gosz, the Midwest's "Polka King" until he died.
Through a couple friends, and off the Internet, I got 15 .mp3 files of his band.
Burned it to CD, MAYBE it will get to them in Florida by Christmas.
Right now, my parents are a little flustered, they have tons of 78's of him and his band, and would like to have those on CD.
I just regret that my turntable doesn't have a 78 setting.

Something they would never do for themselves!
This year, I got my parents a painting of their house. They're getting older, and I don't know how long they'll be able to stay there, so I thought they would appreciate it.

2. My wife got me a Crosley Record Player |
|
last Christmas when she realized I wasn't getting rid of my records. It plays 78 although I don't have any 78's. It was a fine investment. You can get units now that have record player, cassette player and CD player. Surely they can squeeze in an 8-track player.
