"Finally, I'm in a size 2!"
Edited on Tue Dec-19-06 04:57 PM by Left Is Write
Is anyone else here familiar with that particular NutriSystem commercial? Is it just me, or is that woman the most annoying person ever to do an ad for a "weight loss system"?

"It works! This is a 2!" Giggle, giggle, twirl, giggle.

"I feel so sexy!" Giggle, giggle.

Edited: Her size is not the source of my irritation. It's her mannerisms and her giggles.

The point isn't her size but her annoying nature. Be thankful you don't see the commercial! You'd be annoyed by her too. :)

 NOT!!!!! :eyes: That commercial is extremely annoying. I'm happy to be a size 8, thank you very much.

Perky, giggly airheads on commercials will NOT make me buy anything, ESPECIALLY if they show off being a ridiculously low size. :P

6. Hey!
I'm a "ridiculously low size" too, but I don't go around being perky and giggly about it like she does. I just cannot stand that woman. There's another NutriSystem woman who bugs me too ("People have told me I'm hot, yes!" Laugh, laugh, laugh), but this one is just grating.

Her tee-hee like giggles just get to me.

Maybe it's the squeaky way she says "2!"

She could say, "It works! This is an 8!" in the same squeaky, giggly tone and I'd still want to slap her.

Yes, she drives me nuts as well. Makes me want to grab her cheeks, and squeeze them togetherin a fish-face way, while saying sternly, "Repeat after me. It's pronounced 'toooooooooo', not 't-uhhhhhh', ya twit."

Can't stand the commercial.

I was afraid to pop in here. I'm a size 0 too, and I have never had any complaints about my shape, nor am I "unwomanly."

We're just "streamlined" and "compact."

;-)

I'm only 5'2", so according to my doctor, and recommended guidelines, I'm a perfectly healthy size/weight range for my height.

Thanks for sticking up for the wee lasses.

But yeah, I've seen that commercial, and that lady sounds like she's on PCP.

SAME HERE....

iF YOU'RE 5'1 OR LESS,

A size 0-2 makes perfect sense.
I'm 5'1 1/2", (small-medium-boned) 114 lbs, and my size ranges between 0-2. I'm not skinny at all.
If I were to gain 8 - 10 lbs, I would probably wear a size 6, and for my frame, I'de look chunky. I know because when I was pregnant
I zoomed to 154 lbs, so I'm aware of what I look like at every weight in between.
I'm also at the healthy size/weight for my height and frame.

Yes, she's obnoxious, but I think because she makes so many people take
notice of her, her career might fly.

Kind of like a Gilbert Gottfried----can't stand to listen to him,
but .....

52. It all depends on your bone structure.
height, age, and muscle mass.

I have a friend who is 5'6, 119 lbs.
She has the most gorgeous figure. (Swimsuit model and a Size 2!)

My perfect weight is btwn. 114-116.
When I go below 110 lbs., I start looking too thin.

Also, alot depends on how much muscle you have. The women
on the commercial is NOT too thin.

People shouldn't take for granted that a Size 2
is emaciated.

29. something else doesn't make sense
She said she hasn't been this size since junior high. But she says he says "now I've got my wife back." Did they marry when she was 12? And she lost 35 lbs. Even though she's obviously very short, 35 lbs. doesn't make someone a completely different person. Must be a really deep relationship.

This is one of the most annoying ads on TV. Since most people gain the weight back within a year, I imagine Ms. Perky will probably stop giggling soon.

The ad comes on and the sound goes off. She's too f'ing perky.

Wanna impress me, put some chick on that was Carnie Wilson pre-gastric bypass, now a normal sized 8.

I sent an email to Nutri-Systems a couple weeks ago about this commercial. It's not only irritating but it's stupid marketing. Their target audience is not someone who's a size 8 looking to get to a 2! More like a 16 or over looking to get to an 8. Dumb dumb dumb.

I once sent a similar letter to Slim Fast about a mother and daughter that was very degrading. I guess enough people wrote cause they changed the commercial and sent an email stating they were doing so.
