We have no power, but we are fine
I'm sure that there were mucho threads from other DU'ers in the Pacific Northwest over the past few days. I'm just another one.

We have no power. We may not get it back until after Christmas Day, but we are warm, we are fed, and we are fine.

Thinking of all of you, and hoping you all have a wonderful holiday with whomever you like and love,
Julie

2. I'm really sorry you don't have power yet!
From what I see on the news, there are a lot of crews working all over the place to get everyone hooked back up.

Hang in there!

:hi:

4. Oh, gosh. I was thinking about you over the weekend and hoping
and praying you guys were safe. I had my fingers crossed that since flamingyouth was okay, you guys were as well.

16. This means so much to me
Out of all the people to post to me ;-), someone who's surviving Katrina?

Merry Christmas to you, too, and I hope it's a good one for all of us.

18. Aww, you make me blush

Just stay warm and take good care of yourself.

I hope you don't do like me, now when I'm in walmart, I am obsessed with buying flashlights and radios that don't need batteries and candles and weather proof matches and you name it. I'm like a kooky squirrel hiding my nutts. :silly:

Merry Christmas to you and yours. :grouphug:

keep us posted!

I was thinking of you and wondering how you both were. We were barely hit at all. Just a few hours without power.

8. If I remember correctly
You live down in the valley (I live six miles up the hill off of Cherry Valley) and I saw on PSE today that they might have your power up by this evening! Yay! Ours on the other hand, probably won't be back up until next week but we have a wood stove and a generator (we only keep it on about 2 hours a day though) so we're doing fine. It's amazing how many things that I take for granted are electrically powered!

9. Let's meet in the middle
I'd love to buy you a cup of coffee...

I'll try to get online before Christmas, and we can firm up the plan.

10. Thank you, everyone
I'm sitting in the laundromat in Overlake trying to get enough clothes done so that we don't have to wander the wilds of Duvall naked. :scared:

I'm thinking of everyone, and thank you so much for all of your good wishes!

Love, Julie

13. Julie!!!
I missed this post the other day. I tried to call but just got your voice mail.

I'll PM you my phone number. If you and Eric need anything at all in the next couple of days, just call me, I can come over. Or if you need a break and want to come over here, let me know.

I've been really worried about you guys.
