Hell...I love love *LOVE* these people to death. But that *was* annoying. They know that. They couldn't possibly *NOT* know that, as it was beat into their heads day after day. They come to a place that they (clearly wrongly) assume is full of open-minded, progressive people to share their happiness and they're shit on by everyone. Even I confess to the occasional "Oy vey, already!! :eyes:"

But y'know what? It intrigued me. I began to not be so annoyed and instead cheered them on, wishing them the best.

You may or may not have been harboring these feelings all these months. Maybe something about this just tripped something in you and you felt the need to jump in and slam bi_baby, hoping more people would jump on your bandwagon. But I think it's clear in the nuances that these people have not only achieved their own harmony but also have many, many fans and well-wishers here in the Lounge. It was BI-Baby's thread, she started this one, and I was just trying to make the point that she may find Rachael annoying but others may find Bi annoying too.

Just as I'm sure people find me annoying and that people find you Dolo annoying.

It's just the way it goes. But people like to hate on other people being annoying but never like to look sometimes at themselves.
I hate on people here too, though I try and limit that.

As I said to Bi in one of our PMs, I never knew the reason that they all took a break from here.
Maybe it was alluded to in threads and I am just too blind and dumb to figure it out.
I tend not to get caught up in all the games that people play here. Lots of shit happens behind the scences, I know, and sometimes it makes it's way out into the board.

I don't like that shit and I don't play that way.

I talk to one or two people via PM and one or two by phone (but rarely).

Regardless, her recipes make very good meals...they are quick and affordable.
My sister has many of her cookbooks and makes many meals from them.

If you ever watched the special on the Food Network...can't think of the exact name but it was a behind the scenes look at the network... it showed that Rachael really does use only 30 minutes to make those meals on that show.

Every one of those hosts has prep people, I am sure.

Actually I believe that Alton Brown, Mario Batali, Emeril, Giada, Cat Cora, can cook. And yes they have prep people. I didn't make myself clear.

My biggest problem with her is her total lack of hygene - the knife that cuts the chicken goes back in the drawer - and her lack of respect for ingredients. I don't know about you, but using extra virgin olive oil to saute, is IMHO an absolute waste. Olive oil yes, but extra virgin has a whole other taste dimension that is lost on heating.

And you can get great meals out of Joy of Cooking and end up learning more about where your food comes from.
