1. Will Sergeant out of that poll, but hozabout Stuart Adamson of Big Country?
Damned if he didn't make that guitar sound amazingly like a fiddle (my gramps and dad were both mean Irish fiddle players, so this I know!).

Electronic (Marr, Bernard "New Order" Sumner, and a few tracks with the Pet Shop Boys) was pretty sweet. Their first record anyway ...
