new pics from Colorado
We are in Arvada. Mr. momophile made it home last night after 6 and 1/2 hours, and he brought a coworker after the coworker had to ditch his own car. The commute is normally 1/2 hour. And Mr. momophile couldn't make it up our street so the car is at the bottom of the hill. The covered van out front is a neighbor who couldn't quite make it over the top.

3. That's a lot of snow!
I grew up in Ohio, and miss the snow, but I don't think I want that much. I'm now in southern Louisiana and it's 67 outside. But in the summer I have to deal with the 100 degree days. Hope you say safe and warm!

8. Send some down here to North Georgia.
We only get one or two snows a year and not much accumulates except in the mountains.

9. I am from Ohio, right near the lake...
You pictures look similar to what we usually get. Not this year.

Some of the trees here haven't even lost their leaves.

14. hard to tell with the drifts but maybe two feet
there is a three foot drift in the back yard.

I watched as the neighbor shoveled his walkway just incase he fell over. My hubbie is working on the driveway in shifts. Definitely heart attack conditions.

15. not much of one anyway...
I guess I could go out and either shovel all the snow off, or walk somewhere, though walking is arduous in this stuff; I did yesterday, when it was only about six inches... oy!

I think I'll wait till tomorrow - maybe the sun will come out and melt it all today :D

I hope you and Mr momophile stay warm also.

:hi:

16. Wow - be careful, but have fun!
I've been in one of those... used to live about an hour west of DC on a mountain near the VA/WVa border... I'm from Palm Springs, and had never lived in snow before. Winter of 2002/2003 it started to snow one Thursday and didn't stop until Sunday. Heavy, consistent snow (though I know you guys in Co. got yours almost in one night).

Probably 3 feet of snow on the ground, all at once. Being rural, we didn't get out for 7 days, and only then when a bulldozer came through. Our driveway was so steep that the 'dozer started from top-down, and midway he was so heavy with snow he slid the rest of the way down the driveway, across the road, and down the other side.

What's your weather forecast?
