1. Sweetness...:)
Have you seen any of the trailers for the OOTP yet? I saw a five minute behind the scenes, about ten days ago....it looks very good. OOTP was my favorite in the series(so far)...:D

11. Jo Rowling herself suggested
"Harry Potter and the Mid-Life Crisis" as a future book title :P

(no, there won't be any HP books after #7)

10. I honestly can't believe that she'd do that to millions of kids
Not to mention she could never appear in public again.

But anyone else is fair game, sadly. Look at what happened in #6. And that character is definitely dead.

Capsule way to keep up, and you don't have to wade through all the news in the big HP sites.

34. Well, at least he's not "worse than dead"
Which is what he'd be if he received the Dementor's Kiss or passed through the Arch of Annihilation.

17. Yeah, I think that character is dead...
spoiler, possibly...I will use loose language.

There is one thing, hanging on the wall in the headmasters quarters, that tells me that this particular character is dead.

21. What I never understood (spoiler discussion, avoid!)
is why Harry, McGonagall and the others didn't go straight to the painting to start asking for advice--why did Snape do it, was it planned beforehand by Dumbledore in order to save Draco? etc.

All the other paintings in the Headmaster's Office are perfectly sentient and rational--so logic would assume that Dumbledore's painting would be just as logical and rational too.

23. yes, but *spoilers*
I don't think it was ever discussed, just how the characters act, the second the get into the painting...I think their is some down time, before that particular character gets up, and is a viable part of the painting...thats why I think DD was sleeping in the painting....

I don't remember Snape asking the painting for any advice, but my memory is off at times...I think that DD being in the painting, will still give Voldemort issues, about storming HogWarts...because the painting does have a bit of DD in it...:D

18. Maybe yes, maybe no
but, remember the old saw "Voldemort will never take Hogwarts so long as Dumbledore is there?" Says nothing about him being alive or dead.

28. I actually disagree with you...
Edited on Thu Dec-21-06 08:27 PM by elfrangel
Here's why:

Balance -

Harry is a powerful wizard, very powerful as is Voldemort. If one dies, who remains to balance the scales? No one. In which case, it makes sense that BOTH would have to die in order to keep the world safe.

No flaming please....just a theory.

9. You have to go to the secret room (the one where she gave us the title for #6)
Click on the hairbrush first, and listen to the radio carefully. Then go back.
Click on the eraser, which takes you to the secret room, do what you heard on the radio. Then click around. Wait. Click around some more.

PM me if you need more hints.
