My biggest gripe about video games nowadays... |
|
For the past couple years they all have this warning when they are started, "This videogame may cause you to spaz out." (Paraphrased, I know.)
I mean, did any epileptics have a seizure due to a videogame and then sued?

1. my biggest gripe is that they're all the same. |

with the exception of the nintendo wii, there has been almost no innovation in gameplay.
playstation 3 is the lamest thing i've ever seen in my life, nothing anyone can say will change my mind.

2. I don't know but I wouldn't be surprised |

I suffer from vertigo which has been induced by things like quick scene changes in movies or fast-paced video games. It's annoying but a lot less serious than a full-on seizure.
Why is this a gripe? If they really can cause a seizure, why is it unreasonable to have a warning? I have a friend who's epileptic - if she can avoid a seizure, I'm sure she's a lot happier.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Photosensitive_epilepsyWhat bums me out is that I've been playing games for years, and I have yet to go into seizures. I'm all about the free buzz.

The Wii and GameCube have some of the coolest games. I'm an old school Final Fantasy freak, so I don't know about much of the FPS and such.
