Pictures from today: Colorado Blizzard 2006 (pic heavy)
So here was the view from our front door this morning...

And from our back door overlooking what used to be our porch...

When I went outside to help Mr. Writer shovel, I noticed that Pippin the Dog had gotten out. I called him and he came right to me...

We managed to dig the walkways and an "escape route" for our SUV to get out of the driveway into the cul-de-sac. Our neighbors attempted this earlier but got stuck in the foot to two-foot packed snow. I think we may wait until tomorrow. :7

2. Glad you liked them.
We haven't taken any pictures yet, but the entire neighborhood now looks like WW1 with trenches. :P

3. You've Got Lots Of Snow!
looks like more than we got here, except that they say we got 32 inches.

I'm skeptical, but I'd guess at least 2 feet.

Who knows

Now, we have to get out of here on Saturday to catch our flight back to Arkansas so we can go to other family for Christmas. Oh boy!

;)

4. I think we got upwards of 20-24".
Yesterday afternoon we shoveled a foot from our walkways and driveway... you can see what good that did. ;)

I'm sure you'll be able to get back to DIA and home on Saturday. The best of luck there, and I hope you enjoyed Colorado.

6. I (Almost) Always Enjoy Colorado
and am usually here once or twice a year.

My parents used to live in Ft. Collins, in fact the pics remind me of the neighborhood they lived in.

They bought a condo up here and were coming here in the summer and on weekends, and then decided to sell and move here.

Now I wish my Dad would move back to Ft. Collins. My Mother died last year and he is so isolated up here. He used to volunteer at the hospital there, and had lots of friends. Here he has his condo association and people he has met here. All his doctors are in Ft. Collins, etc.

Oh well, he does what he wants to and that is to be respected.

He's not a mountain man by any stretch!

had to throw that in LOL

;-)

10. The poor little thing could hardly make his way through the snow...
his little Pippin legs leaped as best as they could, but he could only hobble toward me. He was panting and wheezing when he finally made it to my feet.

Poor pup. :(

16. Oh, that's cute! I have a photo of my son, David, who was about eight years old.

He's standing in a snow cave that his 14 year old stepbrother built for him out of the drifts!

I've got to find those photos and digitally rescue them from the junkpile of history!

12. Reminds me of the photos from the Blizzard of 1978 -- in Massachusetts.

Regrettably, those photos are in our picture album -- not transfered to digital yet!

Somebody else has posted these!

You think you got snow?

Look at THIS LIST (The Digital Snow Museum):

I sympathize with you -- Denverians? Denverites? (What the hell do you call yourselves in Denver?)

Don't try to dig yourselves out in one day. Too much exertion. Heart attacks occur... don't know how old you guys are.
