Mama's Brain Surgery recovery Update:

Hey hey y'all, yesterday Sniffa and I went to Western Ma and took Momma to the neurosurgeon for the post-op follow up. He was incredibly happy and kinda blown away by how her walking has improved, as she's essentially back to normal, compared to not being able to walk almost prior to the surgery. No more falling down and no more shuffling, stooped gait. She's back to her old self in that regard. He said he wished he'd vidotaped her before and after, b/c it would be a great example for a lecture on Hydrocephalus and shunts.

Her speech, while slightly improved, is still pretty rough. That's going to take time, I guess.

And the incisions healed fine, got her staples out. But, on the lower one, one her stomach, she had a large hematoma under the skin that he aspirated. If it returns, she'll need another surgery to re-position the drain end of the shunt.

So there's your report. :)

Sniffa and I will be cooking Xmas dinner with her, for my family, on Monday. the 3 of us in her kitchen... :o

But, having her better on XMas is good enough for me :)
