Do 'em both. Put the marshmallows in the cup, pour the hot chocolate over 'em, add whipped cream on top and then some chocolate shavings.
If you're gonna do it, might as well do it right.

25. My dad made cocoa the old fashioned way |

While slowly heating up a pan of whole milk he dry mixed into a glass Hershey's cocoa and sugar. When warm, a couple of spoonfuls of milk stirred into the dry mix, adding more spoonfuls until thin. Then gradually pouring the glass full of warm cocoa/sugar concentrate into the pan of warmed milk. Finally, topped off with marshmallows. One of my very fond childhood memories.

A pinch of salt a little bit of vanilla and I break off a little piece of candy cane and let it dissolve in the bottom of the mug and top it off with the whipped cream. Yummm!!!!
