Sorry to hear you are having a rough night. I am also dealing with some inner conflict, confusion, and just plain jealousy, and there are alot of other things I'd rather be thinking and doing but I guess it's my night to be human. Christmas is a stressful time for me, what with all the work I have to do (stealing presents, decorations, and food and then hauling them all the way to the top of Mt. Crumpet and all. It's more work than people give me credit for)

Sometimes people see vitriol where there is none, but I might be oblivious to some subtle digs too.

who has brain cancer. He doesn't like having me, or anyone else around, but it's necessary. I have other family members calling me on the phone and giving me "rah rah" type of messages, but it seems hollow sometimes. I'm tired and dealing with my own crap, and wonder what it is about tragedy that brings a group of people together who haven't given half a crap about me for quite some time. and why.

I have taken care of relatives with cancer and lost a brother this last summer myself. Both suck. Hopefully your brother gets better.

The care of each of us is left to others as imperfect as we are. Every flawed person relys on a chain of other flawed persons to provide us with food. No man eats on his work along. I officially give you permission to feel like crap and be annoyed at those lazy relatives of your for not bailing you out.
